Four Years in a Row! Dell Boomi Named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service

Gartner, Inc., a leading information technology research firm, named Dell Boomi a Leader in its report, “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service, 2017.” This is the fourth year in a row that Gartner has placed Boomi in the Leaders category of its Magic Quadrant for iPaaS.

Gartner’s Magic Quadrant reports are widely respected assessments of a broad range of technology markets. Magic Quadrant reports measure vendors on two primary criteria: the ability to execute and completeness of vision.

“We feel being recognized as a Leader in this Magic Quadrant for four years in a row reflects both the value our platform brings to customers and our ability to continue to deliver innovative, scalable solutions to the market,” says Chris McNabb, Boomi CEO.

In the report, Gartner explained the growing importance of iPaaS in helping organizations modernize their IT infrastructures to meet the demands of today’s hybrid computing environments.

“An integration platform as a service (iPaaS) provides capabilities to enable subscribers (aka “tenants”) to implement data, application, API and process integration projects spanning cloud-resident and on-premises endpoints,” Gartner explains. “This is achieved by developing, deploying, executing, managing and monitoring “integration flows” (aka “integration interfaces”) — that is, integration applications bridging between multiple endpoints so that they can work together.”

Boomi: Leading the iPaaS Revolution

As an independent business unit of Dell, Boomi has experienced remarkable growth during the past 5 years. Since 2012, the company has grown 30-fold and now has more than 5,300 customers around the world. On average, Boomi adds five new customers a day.

Boomi’s success is based on our focused dedication to helping our customers modernize their IT infrastructures, adopt cloud technologies, and bring far greater agility to their businesses.

Boomi addresses our customers’ most pressing integration challenges as they manage the complexities of today’s hyper-dynamic IT environments. Enterprise and mid-market organizations partner with Boomi to rapidly connect and easily manage how they use data and applications to run their businesses.

“More than ever, our customer inspire us to deliver great innovations as they turn to Boomi to transform the way they connect, manage, govern and automate all their applications and data to drive digital transformation, IoT, and application modernization projects for their organizations,” McNabb says.

Adding to our momentum, this month Boomi acquired ManyWho, a low-code, cloud-native development platform that simplifies workflow automation. It allows businesses and developers to easily create intelligent software applications for managing business processes and automating how businesses connect employees, customers and core systems.

The ManyWho workflow capabilities complete the unified Boomi platform for managing all aspects of data and application integration, including core integration tasks, as well as MDM, EDI and API management.

Workflow automation is a critical need for modern organizations pursuing digital transformation and IT modernization. However, most traditional business process management (BPM) systems are too costly and complex to quickly automate business workflows. But ManyWho combined with Boomi dramatically improves how our customers can take advantage of best-of-breed cloud applications and tie together their critical on-premises systems.

With the ManyWho capabilities, the Boomi platform now allows organizations to easily connect applications and data, manage all changes, ensure data quality, and establish efficient business processes across a diverse IT landscape.

Dell Technologies is leading the charge in digital transformation. Boomi is the world’s leading cloud integration platform. And ManyWho is helping organizations rethink the way they automate and manage workflows. Together, we offer the only unified, cloud-native platform that allows our customers to integrate, orchestrate, and automate their applications, data, and business operations with incredible speed, ease and efficiency.
